The Ultimate Rebranding Checklist for Your Business

rebranding checklist

Getting a new brand look can breathe new life into your business. Right about now, you’re probably feeling yourself… as you should be!

But don’t let the excitement of this brand makeover keep you from making the necessary updates to keep your brand looking consistent across platforms.

Below I’ve included a list of 13 things you should consider updating when getting a new brand look. But, before you get completely overwhelmed, remember, one of my favorite words is DELEGATE. You don’t have to do all of these things yourself (in fact, you probably shouldn’t). But you do need to be aware of these things so you can delegate the tasks to the right people.

Update EVERYTHING

Website

Update the logo on your main website, including the header, footer, and any other relevant sections. You’ll also want to update colors, fonts, and any graphics that no longer feel “on brand”.

Social Media Profiles

Update your logo on all social media profiles associated with your business, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. While I don’t recommend that your logo be your profile pic, you might want to update the colors of banners or highlight covers to be aligned with your new look.

Business Cards

Print new business cards with the updated logo design and throw some in your bag for your next networking event. Swap out the ones at the front desk in your office, too. 😉

Stationery

Update letterheads, envelopes, thank you cards, and any other printed materials used for official correspondence with your new logo.

Email Signature

Update your logo and colors in your email signature. You can whip up a quick email signature using Canva.com.

For Sale Signs

Replace your old logo with your new one on all physical advertising materials, such as yard signs, directional signs, brochures, flyers, etc.

For REALTORS

REALTOR Specific Print Materials

Update your listing presentation, open house fliers, buyer’s guide, seller’s guide, etc. to reflect your new branding and wow your prospects with a new vibe.

Swag

You already know, my vibe is #showup and #showoff. And when a new brand look is in…showing off is in order! Order swag like shirts, koozies, baseball hats, pens, notepads, tote bags, tumblers, etc with your new branding. For large-quantity orders, check out Swag.com.

Online Directories and Listings

Update your logo on any online directories or listings where your business is listed, such as local directories, MLS platforms, Yelp, Google My Business or real estate websites.

Office Signage

Update your logo on any signage within your office or brokerage, including exterior signs, reception area signs, and directional signs.

Advertising Campaigns

If the realtor has ongoing advertising campaigns, update the logo in any digital or print advertisements.

Email Marketing Templates

Update any email marketing templates or newsletter templates to feature the new logo. I love using Flodesk.com because I can upload my brand colors and logo and it saves them to easily customize templates to my own branding.

Digital Presentations

Update any digital presentations or slideshows used for client meetings, conferences, or training sessions with your new logo.

Remember, this list is not exhaustive, and your specific needs may vary based on your business and branding strategy.
